Prophylaxis in pregnancy:
For a naturally healthy start in life!
Pregnancy changes your body. Quite obviously by the belly, which becomes a little rounder with each additional week. And rather inconspicuous due to a stronger blood supply to the gums. This makes it more susceptible to bacteria – the risk of inflammation increases!
Any intervention during pregnancy means stress for mother and child. That’s why we take precautions: with prophylaxis during pregnancy!
- Prophylaxis at the beginning of pregnancy
With a
professional dental cleaning (PZR)
we lay the foundation for healthy teeth during the next nine months at an early stage. If we find caries holes, we can treat them without any problems. If you suffer from severe gag reflex, we will plan treatment for you accordingly. - Prophylaxis in the middle of pregnancy
At an appointment in the second trimester of pregnancy, we check again that everything is going according to plan with the mother’s oral health. - Prophylaxis at the end of pregnancy
If you have a toothache or other oral health problems, you should come back to our office even at the end of your pregnancy. We will be happy to take another look at what we can do for you and your child.
